Since launching in 2023, AltTab has proudly supported Hummingbird House through the annual IT Social fundraising event. After a recent visit to the House, we saw firsthand the incredible care and compassion the team provides to families during what are often the most difficult moments of their lives.
During our visit, we learned about a special opportunity to help even further.
Hummingbird House is planning to transform a disused outdoor space (formerly a chicken coop!) into a quiet, private space for families and staff. The vision is to create a peaceful environment with pavers, seating, a table, and shade, offering a dedicated spot for sensitive conversations, especially around end-of-life care and those incredibly tough final steps.
Thanks to a generous donation, the pavers are already covered. Now, under the guidance of Grumpy a dedicated volunteer who lovingly maintains the grounds in memory of his granddaughter, the first phase of the transformation is set to begin.

All funds raised will go directly toward completing the space, including purchasing reinforced outdoor furniture designed for families to sit together during difficult conversations, planting greenery, and installing shade to ensure comfort and privacy.
