In Loving Memory of Molly O'Shea
Hummingbird House, Queensland's only children's hospice, is a truly special organisation. In the days before Molly's passing, it provided our extended family and us a sacred space with Molly, allowing us to say goodbye with no limitations or expectations. Through tears, laughter and a little bit of magic, we were able to process the severity of losing her, surrounded by the love from our family and the constant support of the amazing staff.
Our day-to-day tasks that, in normal circumstances, would be unbearable to even attempt, were all so kindly and lovingly provided to us throughout the entire stay. Not once did we feel pressured, only gently guided in making our own unique decisions on how we wanted to say goodbye to Molly.
In light of this, we kindly ask that in place of flowers and gifts in this time of sadness, donations are made to this incredible non for profit organisation that truly will forever hold a special piece of our hearts. Allowing other families experiencing such pain to be cared for as we were on behalf of Molly O'shea would be a legacy we would be so incredibly proud of.
