I am proudly raising funds for Hummingbird House, Queensland's only children's hospice, and a truly special organisation that provides support for families loving and caring for a baby, child or young person with a life-limiting condition.
By joining me in supporting Hummingbird House, you’re letting these families know that we care, and they are not alone.
Families lives are taken up by the 24/7 responsibilities of caring for their baby, child or young person living with a life-limiting condition. Our support also means that they can access essential services like family support, a range of therapies, short respite breaks wherever they live in Queensland.
Together, let’s help them make every moment precious when time is short

300km Walk from Kilkiven to Ipswich
Friday 13th May
Athol is 90 years old, legally blind but full of
energy and a youthful heart which has long driven him to want to champion and
support young people. In recent years he has been volunteering at
Hummingbird House doing any practical job that can help the rest of the staff
there care for young people who are living with a life limiting condition. He is one of Hummingbird House’s quiet achievers, humble
and loyal and committed to help in any way he can.
Always up for a challenge, Athol has decided to walk from Kilkiven in QLD’s Burnett Valley, to Ipswich in late June… a 300km journey across 13 days! He has walked alongside so many people over his long years of serving, so friends and family will walk alongside him for a day or two along the way but Athol will cover the entire distance with a smile on his face and a skip in his step.
He would love you to support him by donating to a cause so very dear to his heart in Hummingbird House.
